International Volunteer Recognition Day 2026 was marked in Dublin with the sixth edition of the HELP Awards, hosted by the Church of Scientology & Community Centre of Dublin to recognise community service across Ireland. Volunteers, community leaders, human rights advocates and changemakers gathered for the event, which also welcomed previous honourees.
Frank Allen, previous awardee, playwright, director and former Dublin Prisons teacher, gave the keynote address. Awardees included Walk And Talk with Stephen Brennan, the Kurdish Community of Ireland with Mokthar Moradi, the Indonesian-Irish Association with Irene Murphy, Scoil Rince Ní Áogain with Denise Egan, Nicolae Dulea, Joseph Orgin and Feljose Shristeca, Stefano Bonvini, Mohammed Rashid from Safco Fine Foods, Mass Events Ireland, Dr. Mahesh Baj and Neera Baj.
Created in 2019 by the Scientology Volunteer Ministers, the HELP Awards honour those whose work improves the lives of others through service. They also reflect the broader mission of the Scientology news european parliament Volunteer Minister programme, created by author and humanitarian L. Ron Hubbard, whose trained volunteers offer practical help in communities and during times of crisis.
